Annular Solar Eclipse 19º Gemini 42’

I have been thinking back to some of my favorite books to read as a child, the “Choose Your Own Adventure” series. I would love to read through using one mindset, then go through again and chose a completely different route.
This New Moon Eclipse occurs on Thursday, June 10, 6:53 AM EDT in the mutable air sign of Gemini. There is a hearty dose of mutable (changeable) energy with this eclipse. This eclipse is a North Node New Moon Eclipse, which sets us off on a journey – to either move forward towards our soul’s purpose or to backtrack and pick up the forgotten lessons to do so.
As we set our canoes into the water, we realize this New Moon Eclipse is squaring Neptune. Neptune brings spirits, of all kinds. It is powerful in its modern home of Pisces, a mutable water sign. Neptune can boost creativity, create mirages, have us reaching for the bottle to escape, bring us powerful dreams, or create a Siren song. Squares bring a change of heart or direction. This is where the discernment of Gemini comes into play. As you reach the metaphorical fork in the river, it’s decision time. Do we stay on the path we set out on? Backtrack to correct course? Or pull the canoe out of the water and walk towards a rumored spaceship. Do we even believe that could exist? Avoid the urge to escape the journey altogether through those mirages, drugs, or alcohol. Stay steady.
With the Sun and Moon conjunct Mercury, we are gifted with the flow of ideas and words. The only downside is – it may be information overload, the dilemma of choice is real. Listening with compassion and having the ability to change course could be a saving grace. Up the listening.
This New Moon Eclipse occurs just a few days shy of the “Astrological headliner” of the year. The second of three times this year that Saturn squares Uranus on the 14th. This creates friction with structures, within and without. Those who stick to their maps no matter how the river or sky appear currently* could find themselves in tough rapids facing very stormy weather. Choosing the path with present-day information is always a wise choice. Tides are shifting. Truth and optimism can exist together with this New Moon Eclipse, steer the canoe towards possibility.
There is also a wonderful ability to heal the past now with Chiron in a positive aspect to the Nodes of the Moon (the points in the sky that trigger Eclipses). Along with a positive Saturn and Chiron aspect that shines a light on our best Selves, our gifts, or perhaps a secret passageway to a destination that wasn’t even available before.
As we feel swirled in a bit of information or confusion, being open and present is our best bet. A new world is taking shape, the blueprints are just being formed, patience and creativity Star Seekers!
